Four Runs Since My Last Post

I am really slacking lol, honestly I am just tired and feeling like I am running in circles right now. Things are really hectic at the business, and I am just exhausted. I will try to make this quick, first last Friday's 5 mile easy run:
A wonderful easy run in 66 degrees, humidity at 78% and sunny but the run went well overall. Five miles in 52:51 with an average pace of 10:34 min/mile so it was definitely an easy recovery run.
The splits were:
Mile 1 - 11:16
Mile 2 - 10:58
Mile 3 - 10:30
Mile 4 - 10:13
Mile 5 - 9:52
Sunday's Nine mile long run wasn't bad either, though 70 degrees with humidity at 88% and sunny, but I had gotten out there before 6:30 in the morning so it wasn't awful. Ran the 9 miles in 1:31:24 with an average pace of 10:09 min/mile so not bad considering the weather and lack of sleep I've been getting. The new route was a nice change of scenery though a lot of dead animals on the road, but it was definitely nice to get away from the same routes and see some more of the countryside.
The splits were:
Mile 1 - 10:54
Mile 2 - 10:15
Mile 3 - 10:25
Mile 4 - 10:19
Mile 5 - 10:01
Mile 6 - 10:06
Mile 7 - 10:07
Mile 8 - 9:52
Mile 9 - 9:24
Not bad, especially the last mile with all of that so I am pretty pleased with it.
Monday's 4 mile recovery run I didn't get lucky and ended up having to run it in the afternoon with 88 degrees, but the humidity was 59% so thankfully it wasn't completely awful though very sunny. Four miles in 39:47 with an average pace of 9:56 min/mile so not exactly an easy recovery run. Dorian wasn't about to let me out the door that morning, I can definitely see that Cameron and my stubborn, bull-headed, persistent natures are showing in him already.
The splits were:
Mile 1 - 10:30
Mile 2 - 10:00
Mile 3 - 9:51
Mile 4 - 9:23
Not bad for the heat, hopefully I won't have to deal with too many of these runs.
With this last run, I decided not to take any chances of not getting out in the morning so once I got Dorian in bed by 11:00 Tuesday night I debated for about 25 minutes before finally heading out the door and getting my 6 mile progression run in. It wasn't great, 78 degrees with humidity around 90% and no wind, no clouds but thankfully the sun was down. Six miles in 55:26 with an average pace of 9:14 min/mile, shocking as I was suffering a lot from the weather.
My splits were:
Mile 1 - 10:29
Mile 2 - 9:35
Mile 3 - 9:13
Mile 4 - 8:47
Mile 5 - 8:59
Mile 6 - 8:20
So overall not a bad pace or time, even with the hellish humidity but it was tough I will not deny it. Hopefully Sunday's 10 miler will be a bit nicer, hopefully I can get out there before the temps start rising and I am praying that it will be cloudy.
