I had convention on August 17 and August 18, so I had to get my long run of 16.1 miles in during the week. I was actually very surprised that I was able to do that, and was able to stay awake pretty much all day.
But I only got 32.3 miles for that week, and only 4 days of running so I still wasn't up where I needed or wanted to be.
I was definitely putting more focus on my running weight lifting, though.
I got into fitness a little over 13 years ago, at first I just wanted to lose 20-25 lbs so I began strength training & then quickly followed it with running. Shortly after, I started running & since then I've ran hundreds of 5k's, 10k's, 15k's, 13.1 and 26.2 mile races and still maintain my strength training. My hope is to help others discover a love for fitness, finding a lifetime commitment to a healthy lifestyle they can grow with.

2019 IMM Training - Week 15
Obviously my training hasn't been consistent, week 14 only saw 15.7 miles and week 15 only saw 22.6 miles, but I was slowly getting back up there.
I only got in 3 days of running, and 1.4 miles of hiking.
I finally put together my weight bench which gives me the ability to do more strength training at home when I can't make it to the gym (which is a lot).

2019 IMM Training - Week 14
This week was also like 6 weeks ago so it's not fresh in my memory, we went to French Lick, Indiana that week and enjoyed a cabin out in the wilderness. I kept up with some running but not a lot, the drive from our cabin to the road was difficult and hilly but even worse on the way back up it.
I only ran 15.7 miles this week, but enjoyed myself. Some of these pics were the day we headed to French Lick, which was Sunday July 28. I am showing pics of Mittens because she disappeared August 17th, and I miss her very much. I had finished up my 15 miler and was trying to put my hydration pack away, but she had decided it was a great bed.
2019 IMM Training - Week 13
I am so freaking horrible at this, I used to be really freaking good and keeping up with my blogging. But I guess since the last two months have been difficult to get runs done, I haven't felt very motivated to even blog about it.
Anyways, I hate having to put so much into one blog but I also can't recall a whole lot 7 weeks ago. Since I take a lot of pics, I will post the mileage and the pics of each week.

Marathon Training - Weeks 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and maybe 12
Okay, let's just be honest... I have not felt like keeping up with my blog for the past nearly 2 months. My last blog was Week 6, and week 7 ended horribly with a hike up at Lincoln State Park with Dorian and the dogs and my losing the only keys to my '09 Explorer out on the trails. It was humid and awful, Dorian and the dogs were tired and wanted to go home, it was just awful... we waited nearly an hour and a half for my husband to get there to pick us up, two days later we went up to meet a Felt's Lock guy who made me two keys (and went ahead and made my husband a spare for his truck). We haven't been back up to Lincoln since.... the experience was too horrible, I had never felt so vulnerable and sick to my stomach in my life, had it just been me, I would have walked the trails backtracking my steps. But I had a 7 year old (autistic) boy who was so tired and wanted to go home, and two dogs who were just as tired and wanted just as badly to go home. It was awful.
Week 8 - 35.1 miles
Week 9 - 36.2 miles
My long run for week 9 was 16.4 miles and closed out June with 125 miles total. I was on cloud 9 and feeling like a million bucks, little did I know what July had in store for me. My awful toothaches were back in full force and were also causing the most painful migraines I had ever dealt with, these mostly came in the afternoon and stayed with me through the night, which meant no restful sleep at all which had me unable to get up early in the mornings to work out, what made matters worse was the awful heat wave that arrived this month which made it impossible to go for runs in the afternoon (of course so did the migraines).
Week 10 - 16.5 miles
Week 11 - 23.4 miles
Week 12 - 15.6 miles
Here we are at the final (full) week of July and I had gone to the dentist's office last Thursday, got some medication for the inflammation and infection so that has been helping.
So I am currently on Week 13 of Marathon training and so far I've gotten up Monday morning to work out, and then I got in 5.5 miles after that.

Tuesday morning I didn't get up as early as I wanted due to horrible sleep (not migraines or toothaches, but messed up sleep). The only thing that dragged me out of bed was the 60 degrees outside, after 2-3 weeks of awful heat I was not going to miss this. I took Jetta with me, she was happy to go since she hadn't ran much over the last couple weeks. Other than the grumpy drivers we dealt with, it was a great run, and we got to stop and say hello to some horses, cows and a small pony. Got in 7.1 miles.

This morning I woke up to my 3 AM alarm, a little out of it but I got up and headed to the gym.
I'm not fond of the changes they've made, the new cable crossover machine has weighted plates that indicate resistance rather than lbs AND they got rid of certain attachments that I loved using.
After the gym, I drove down to the riverfront to get in an easy out and back 3 miler that turned into a 3.4 mile run with 2 miles of trying to hit my old easy pace which now feels just slightly out of my comfort zone.
So far, this week has been promising.

2019 Marathon Training Week 6
So I've been very bad, both about logging and about getting my runs and workouts in. My last blog was week 4, this is now week 6.
In short:
Week 5 - 20.12 miles
And no workouts at the gym.
This week actually went according to plan and I really didn't have to fight or struggle to get it done.
I'm not going to be able to post the pics and stuff but I'll post what I can.
Monday I went to the gym for Back Day and then got out for a 5.6 mile run.
Tuesday I didn't get up early enough for a run by myself, but the weather was still nice enough by 7:30 AM that I took both Dorian and Jetta with me for a quick 3 miler.

Wednesday I got up and went to the gym for some chest, bi's and tri's.
There was a threat of severe weather but I went ahead and hit the roads from the gym for either a quick 3 miler or 5 miles. I ended up with 4.2 miles and it turned into a progression run thanks to the lightning.
Thursday I was able to get up and go out for my Mid-Week Long Run, normally half the distance of my weekend long run. It was a little tough, my legs felt like lead that morning. I ran 7.1 miles.
Friday I got up and went to the gym for Shoulders.
I should've run at least 3 miles but decided to play it safe and bank on getting my long run in. I wanted to get the long run in Saturday morning but my son got in a good 3 hour nap Friday and didn't go to bed until at 11, and I just couldn't force myself up the next morning. My husband had to be at a customer's plant by 8:30 so I was a little down about it. These rainy days and thunderstorms are putting a damper on my training. Not so much the rain but the lightning.
Sunday morning was near difficult, my son was waking through the night with dreams I guess. I couldn't sneak out of bed before the sun came up, but by 5:45 all was quiet through my house and I took advantage of that. I got up, got everything ready and headed out the door.
I ended up with 13.1 miles, giving me 33 miles for the week.
